Both apartments are located in one half of a semi-detached house in Mülheim an der Mosel, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Mülheim is a small quiet village about 150 km from Frankfurt, 45 km from the city of Trier, 18 km from the city of Wittlich and 5 km from Bernkastel-Kues. You can reach the nearest town Bernkastel-Kues in less than an hour on foot and in 15 minutes by bike. A bus also leaves in a few minutes near the house. Mülheim has about 1,000 inhabitants, but during the tourist season there are significantly more. The village is famous for its well-known wineries and the annual Mülheim Market Festival in August. The neighboring villages of Veldenz and Brauneberg also have numerous places to taste wine! The most famous event in the region is the largest wine festival in the Middle Moselle region, held annually in September in Bernkastel-Kues. Tens of thousands of tourists come to the area to enjoy local wines, food and various outdoor performances. Every wine lover should experience this six-day event! Many other wine-related events are also organized during the summer and fall! There is also plenty to do for children. WelcomeBe charmed by this beautiful house from the 17th century. Our great grandparents lived in this historic house. They worked long days in the vineyards and came home to a house without electricity, running water, heating or a washing machine... Today you can experience the historic charm with the convenience of the 21st. Century. The apartment was completely renovated in 2012. Step out of the lovely furnishings right into the historic city center. The marketplace with its timbered houses; bakery, small grocery store, restaurants and boutiques, are only a few steps away. Relax while you are taking walks through the scenic town, hikes through the vineyards, a river cruise on the Mosel or excursions to other romantic towns. For example; you can visit Trier, Luxemburg or the Eifelmaare. Vacation rental We have furnished our vacation rental “Altstadt” (old town) with lots of love, and are very happy that the German Tourism Association (DTV) has awarded our efforts with four stars. The overall appearance, comfort as well as the infrastructure of our house has been reviewed. Our house belongs to the cultural monument zone. All work that has to be done on the outside of the home has to be approved by the Antiquities and Monuments office. However, on the inside we had the freedom to build small, modern bathrooms and to lay all electrical work under plastering. We replaced all night- storage heaters with individually controlled infrared heating systems. These are the only changes we did to the house, in order to keep the old charm with wooden doors and old timber floorboards as much as possible. The vacation rental is 75 qm / 807 ft (2) and has room for 1 to 4 people. From boat tours to water skiing, quad rental, fantastic hiking trails, zoos, culture and much more, Neumagen-Dhron offers the perfect starting point. Trier, the oldest city in Germany, can be reached in about 25 minutes by car. Bernkastel-Kues, a romantic little town with numerous slate and half-timbered houses, narrow alleys and regional delicacies, can be reached in about 20 minutes. Directly behind the apartment is the river Dhron. About 150 meters further, numerous families meet on nice days for swimming. In about 30 min. distance is the Eifelpark. This guarantees entertainment for the whole family. For the little ones there is a variety of animals and a petting zoo. For the more courageous there is a 60m high freefall tower and a chain carousel of the same height. More information about excursions can be discussed on site.

The apartment im Kirchberg is situated in our private house at the outskirts of town, directly at the vineyards and with a great view over the town which you can also enjoy from the big balcony who ranges over the whole length of the apartment. In front of our house a free parking space is available from which you get to the apartement by an external staircase.

Our hotel "Rieslinghaus" is centrally situated but in a quiet side street (Hebegasse). To the back of the hotel (or is it now the new front) is the the Karlsbaderplatz, a place to sit outside enjoy the scenery, have a glass of wine (or two) or enjoy a meal in a pleasant atmosphere. We have eight pleasant individual rooms, clean, tidy and well looked after and all rooms are none smoker rooms.
