The old natural stone house was build in 1720 for the farmers family, the adjacent half-timbered barn was build in the 19. century. The originally agricultural estate has been lovingly restored. We offer three accommodation units: The old stone house with four bedrooms offers enough space on 190 square meters for families and groups. The two apartments were built in the attic of the old half-timbered barn, are each approximately 52 square meters and are ideal for couples and friends. In this holiday domicile you will enjoy any comfort in a dreamlike ambience.  The idyllic garden with its old fruit trees invites you to relax, linger and to have a barbecue. Our guesthouse can be found in the idyllic village called Kottenborn, far away from transit traffic. It is located in the heart of the Eifel, surrounded by green forests, very close to the Nürburgring (approx. 5km). The special location of our guesthouse offers a lot of activities for the whole family. When hiking through the surrounding landscape you can see different local animals. For relaxation, providing you with deck chairs is a matter of course. Shelters are available for bicycles and bikes. Our partly roofed outdoor area is perfect to end a sunny day with a cosy get-together (drinks self-service). Our facilities also include a barbecue area with a permanently installed swivel grill. A small garden is available.The house impresses with an unusual amount of space and unusual design.Some things are unique and you will not find them anywhere. The holiday house in Reifferscheid is located in the middle of the Hocheifel, the Ahrtal with its numerous vineyards is also not far and even if you are not a motorcyclist or an author, there is simply much to see. Important information: Due to the open construction of the staircase, this house is not suitable for children in the crab age. Also the house is not equipped with child protection sockets, so that the house is suitable either for families with babies or with older children.All rooms can be darkened with roller shutters (on the velux windows). There is also a small garden where you can sunbathe in the summer :-) Important: The garden pond is not safe for small children.Some details: The kitchen is about 30 sqm a room of the meeting, where cooked, eaten, laughed, drunk and can be played. In addition to the usual cooking and eating utensils, a ceramic hob with four hotplates and a large fridge with freezer, you will also find a dishwasher, a microwave, a water cooker and a Senseo coffee machine. A small selection of tea, coffee and spices are available. Flushing utensils are also available. Here you can watch from the bed TV or DVD, because here is also a DVD player. If you prefer sitting, you can relax in the nice seating corner. Possibilities to stow things there is enough here. The refurbished half-timbered house is located in the farmstead of the old rectory of Kirmutscheid / only 5 minutes from the Nürburgring. The main house was built in 1709 by Baron Gallen to Assen for the priest and is directly adjacent to the church ST Wendelinus which was built in 1214 by Count Ulrich von Nürburg.  The house has about 50 square meters of living space and has been restored with great attention to detail. To not lose  the pleasant indoor climate, the renovation is made with natural materials only.
