It is only 3-5 minutes by foot from the station, the ice-rink, the swimming pool, and has direct access to the cross-country ski-pistes. The bus-stop for the bus to the Sunnbüel cable-car and the Oeschinen chair lift is only 2 minutes away by foot.

Chalet Sonnhalde is a small, jewel of chalet located in a very quiet and beautiful spot. It is situated on a cul-de-sac within a community of holiday homes. The area is virtually car-free and the chalet is nestled on a hill on the outskirts of the village of Kandersteg. It offers beautiful views onto the village and surrounding mountains. Chalet Sonnhalde has been very well maintained and is ideally suited for families with children, both older and younger as well as for two or more adults. The accommodation sleeps 6: there are three double bedrooms, one with bunk beds. There is satellite TV and free Wifi. The newly renovated and practical kitchen contains a dishwasher, a ceramic hob and fridge and the small but cosy living room is perfect for an evening Fondue or a relaxing game of cards. During the summer, guests can sunbathe on the large balcony or read in a shady spot. In the basement of the chalet is a laundry tower (washing machine and laundry stool), which may be used by the guests. The chalet has been given a 3 star holiday home rating by the Swiss Tourist Authority. The garden contains a small rockery and a large expanse of grass where guests can barbeque, chill and play. On warm days we recommend a trip to the nearby forest to cool off. Children and adults alike can build stone walls in the mountain creeks and let off steam by the water’s edge. The garage offers parking for one car and storage space for deck chairs, barbeque, snow blower etc – all offered free of charge to our guests. For those who enjoy sport, Chalet Sonnhalde is situated less than 50m from the Kandersteg cross country winter track and 10 minutes walk from the National Nordic Ski Centre (www.nordicarena.ch). Es hat direkten Zugang zur Langlaufloipe und ist nur 2 Minuten zu Fuss von der nächsten Bushaltestelle entfernt. Das Chalet Hüttentürli wurde im Jahre 1985 im ortsüblichen Chaletstil erbaut. Die 5-Bett-Ferienwohnung liegt im Parterre und hat Zugang zum Garten und einen Gartensitzplatz, Gartentisch und Gartenstühle können das ganze Jahr hindurch benutzt werden. Zentralheizung ist vorhanden. Wohn- und Schlafzimmer sind mit Teppichböden ausgelegt. Die Zimmer sind gemütlich eingerichtet. Es hat ein Fernsehgerät, Radio, CD-Player, Haarföhn. Das 1947 einfach, aber zweckmässig erbaute Haus ist seit 1950 in Famlienbesitz und wurde 1995 und 2007 sanft renoviert. It has an entrance hall with cloakroom, a separate bathroom with toilet and shower, a kitchen with stove, small oven, coffee maker, fridge with freezer - you can also enjoy your meals at the dining table. The comfortable living sleeping area has a sofa bed (150cm), a flat-screen satellite TV, PS3 PlayStation, as well as board games and an iPod docking station for listening to your favorite music. Relax in the garden with its covered patio, garden furniture, barbecue and views of the surrounding mountains and nature. The property also has two mountain bikes so you can explore the spectacular scenery of the area! Internet, bed linen and towels are included in the price. The cleaning can be done by the guests themselves or by a cleaning institute on the spot for CHF 120.00 to be booked. A car is essential and there is a free car park on the property. Pets are not allowed, smoking is only allowed outside.
